David Coles joins Craig Bundren for Episode 03 of The Chromatic Podcast. David is the founder and master paint-maker at Langridge Artist Colours in Victoria, Australia - one of the world's most respected makers of artists' oil paints.

He is also the author Chromatopia, an origin story of history’s most vivid color pigments. Did you know that the Egyptians created the first synthetic color and used it to create the famous blue crown of Queen Nefertiti? Or that the noblest purple comes from a predatory sea snail? We didn't either.
